Insurance for $1.66

I bought a toilet plunger for $1.66 as insurance that I'll never need to use it.

A Bridge in the Thicket

Learning to forgive is like discovering a bridge in the thicket that leads to the path back home.

The Red Blood of Patriots

Recently, I read "The Lincoln Hypothesis" by Timothy Ballard. This book helped me appreciate Abraham Lincoln and those who gave their lives in the Civil War so that these 47 words of the 13th Amendment could be added to The Constitution: "Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Meanwhile, President Trump stumps boldly for the right to life, the American flag, "Peace through Strength," legitimate immigration reform, The Constitution, "In God we trust," freedom of religion, the 2nd Amendment, getting people off welfare, regulation reform . . . on and on.  And President Trump is winning. Yes. He goes overboard with ba...

Special Powers

There is no Harry Potter with special powers. Not really. There is Jesus Christ with special powers. Really. Jesus Christ uses His special powers to help anyone. Everyone. Just ask.

The Concert Outside My Window

Nothing warms the soul like watching fat flakes of snow glisten and dance in concert outside my window, then gently tuck themselves into the deepening mattress of my Idaho neighborhood.
