There is the Joy
by Renee Hawkley There is the joy Of feeling the trust of a child as her tiny hand nestles gently in my own. There is the joy Of getting a heart emoji text from a son who once asked that I “please leave heart emojis out.” There is the joy Of helping a neighbor rake leaves on a brisk autumn day. There is the joy Of singing next to the best singer in the choir and pretending her voice is mine. And There is the joy Of being known by Jesus, There is the joy Of offering my heart and hands to Him, And letting go of everything else. “For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.” Isaiah 9:12, 17, 21
